Climb 1000 feet from the highway to Sunset Hill Ridge, and you'll find Sunset Hill House a large 2nd Empire Victorian which first welcomed guests in 1880. We offer 28 guest rooms and suites, full dining in both our formal dining rooms and in our tavern, and extensive meeting facilities. Enjoy our library (with books for trading), formal parlor (if you can play the piano, we'd love to listen!), and TV/game room (including videos) all with fireplaces, of course! Help yourself to hot and cold drinks, or take one to go. Of course, we put out fresh home-made cookies every afternoon.
Watch the sun rise and set over the mountains without leaving your chair. Yankee Magazine, in October 1999, rated us as one of the finest "Views with a Room" in all New England. Our location high atop Sunset Hill Ridge gives us unparalleled views of the Presidential, Kinsman and Franconia Ranges of the White Mountains as well as long-range views over the Green Mountains of Vermont. We like to watch the shadows move across the ravines and valleys, and see localized weather patterns appear over the higher peaks as winds are driven upward. We also love the night skies, and are glad to share our knowledge with you.
