Nestled in a small West Virginia valley, the Pond House blends so naturally with its setting that one could believe it "grew" there, like the dogwood, redbud and pine trees that surround it. A five acre, spring-fed pond invites you to fish or float or fly through the air on a rope swing. Or sit and contemplate the changing images of the passing seasons and days reflected on it's still surface. With three bedrooms, two baths, fireplace, deck and screened porch, this is a house for all seasons...and all reasons.
These log houses were new when our republic was still only an idea, lonely outposts on our then western frontier. It was from houses such as these that Washington said he would "gather around me the men who will lift our bleeding country from the dust and set her free."
