The Old Timber Campground has been around for over 35 years. The original name "The Timber" was a Campground started by Camille and Ida Mae Hier from Kewanee, IL over 35 years ago. in 2000 it's name was changed to "Gibson's RV Park and Campground" after the son of the original owners sold the park. After we purchased it we had an overwelming outcry from the people who have known the park that they loved the old name and everytime we tried to tell the locals about the park they would respond "Oh, you mean the old Timber campground". That is how we came to slightly modify the original name to "The Old Timber".On 50 acres in a beautiful timber area where shade is plentiful. You will find a peaceful 5.5 acre spring fed lake.

There are 50 beautiful acres of trees amid the back roads of America. On the grounds is a lake for fishing or you can take a walk over to the beach. Children can enjoy going to the playground or game room. Within the game room is an area to sit and relax with a book. We have a wonderful selection for every type reader. Take a moment to sit by the fire and look at all the stary shapes sparkling in the sky at night.
