Tired Dog Ranch is your getaway from the dog-eat-dog world, even if you walk on two legs. Chase your tail in the apple orchard, gnaw on a good bone in the pasture, or howl at the moon in the meadow. If you’re dog-tired, you can just sleep the day away or wake up your inner puppy in our cedar hot tub. Teach an old dog new tricks in our polebarn or longhouse with classes, retreats, and large pack gatherings. Nestled on the edge of Willamette National Forest, Tired Dog Ranch offers you miles and miles of trails to hike, bike, and bark up plenty of trees. And after a day of romping and roaming, you can cool off your tired paws in Gray Creek, named after Israel Gray, the founding Dogfather of this beautiful land.
Farm-fresh eggs are provided daily by our lovely laying hens. Gray Creek is a short walk behind the yurt. There are hundreds of miles of trails to hike, bike, and horseback ride. We have 11 beautiful rescue horses who just adore the attention of visitors, as do our six silly goats who will follow you on a walk anywhere (as long as there isn't anything yummy distracting them). The magic of the yurt is found all year long, whether snow is falling or the sun is shining. This circular, open-beam dwelling is sacred, peaceful, and the perfect place to be with yourself or that special one you love. In the winter, you may find the Cottage covered in snow with billowing smoke exiting the flue, acknowledging just how warm and toasty it is inside. In the summer, you may find the front barn doors wide open, with music playing and mountain bikers lounging outside on the lawn after a long ride Up Larison Rock Trail. Magic, Beauty, Grace, and Peace live on these 18 acres. We love to share them with others.
Your cabin or yurt awaits you. We'll leave the lights on and your water bowl filled.
