There are emergency facilities in every room; there is a chamber pot under every bed! The Gillum House was chosen as a participant. Your comfort and pleasure of your stay at the Gillum House will be ensured as we also protect those things that make West Virginia so Wild and Wonderful.
Also in our efforts to be aware of the comfort and possible allergies of our guests, The Harris Room is feather/down-free and the laundry detergents used are dye-free and perfume-free. Softeners and softener sheets are not used for that reason, but towels and linens are "fluffed" in the dryer.
The Gillum house is located 50 feet from the West Fork River Rail Trail, 16+ miles along the scenic winding West Fork River from Shinnston to Fairmont, for bicycles, hikers, and equestrians. Massage appointments, bicycle and helmet use, or stable facilities can be arranged.
