Located 55 miles northeast of the Waweig Lake Seaplane Base, Mojikit Channel Lodge is between the Ogoki Reservoir and Mojikit Lake. The channel was created in the 1940s by Ontario Hydro to redirect water to flow south.
Wilderness North's Mojikit Channel Lodge was newly built in 1995 as five amenity-packed cabins with an adjacent housekeeping facility. The walleye and northern-pike fisheries are phenomenal, ranging from two to six pounds and four to 22 pounds, respectively. Wilderness North guests know Mojikit as a year-round, consistently plentiful fishery. Furthermore, brook and lake trout have been caught near the many dams on these immense bodies of water.
