Dinosaur Lake was created when the Peace Canyon Dam was finished in 1980. The campground was opened in 1983. Dinosaur Lake was named for the fossils of dinosaur footprints that were covered when the area was flooded.
50 dry sites, privies, firewood, cooking boxes, swimming, hiking trails, fishing, boating, boat launch, pets allowed on a leash. $12.00 per unit
There are day use sites located across from the boat launch, only a couple of sites are located by the water. The rest of the sites are located just up from the lake. This is a great campground for boaters.
